Imagine being in space for just a few days but ending up staying there for months! That’s exactly what happened to NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore. They traveled to space on June 5 last year aboard the Starliner capsule, expecting to return in about 10 days. But instead, they’ve been stuck in space for nearly eight months!
Now, U.S. President Donald Trump has asked billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk and his company, SpaceX, to bring these astronauts safely back to Earth. SpaceX, known for its powerful rockets and space missions, will now take on the important task of rescuing the astronauts from the International Space Station (ISS) and returning them home.
